Project “DIGIWORK” is implemented within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021–2026 and is financed by European Union funds through the NextGenerationEU instrument.
About the project
The project Work Design in a Digital Work Environment (DIGIWORK) focuses on exploring how the digital work environment shapes work design and work outcomes in organizations. The focus is placed on four interconnected aspects under the contextual influence of the digital work environment: (1) job crafting as a proactive form of job redesign, (2) algorithmic management as a technology-enabled form of job redesign and control, (3) competencies required for current and future jobs, and (4) digital nomads as a new form of work. The project aims to expand existing theoretical models and empirically examine new forms of work through mixed methodological approaches.
The implementation of the research project commenced on October 1, 2025. The project was submitted to the Call for funding of institutional research projects (IIP-581-2025), under financial mechanism 581 – Recovery and Resilience Facility.
